See climate change through new eyes

The Climate Change VR workshop puts students inside the environments being most affected by our changing climate. Rather than reading statistics, children stand on melting ice caps, explore bleached coral reefs, and witness the impact of deforestation first-hand through 360° virtual reality.

KS1 students explore how weather and seasons are changing, and what animals need to survive. KS2 students investigate the greenhouse effect, carbon cycles, and human impact on ecosystems. Every session connects science with real-world action students can take.

Each session includes a Virtual Reality segment where students are transported into immersive environments. Using class sets of VR headsets, children explore 360° recreations of scientific environments — from standing on melting ice caps to walking among dinosaurs.

Explore how rising CO2 levels are making our planet hotter, disrupting weather patterns and making life harder for plants, animals and people. Students see the scale of emissions from cars and aviation in an immersive cityscape.

Witness how warmer, drier conditions are making wildfires more frequent and devastating. Students explore fire-ravaged landscapes in the US, Australia and the Amazon, seeing how habitats are destroyed.

Experience how heavier rainfall and extreme weather are causing more frequent flooding in the UK. Students explore how barriers, drainage systems and river management help protect communities.

See first-hand how cutting down forests accelerates climate change by removing trees that absorb CO2. Students explore how deforestation destroys habitats and harms local communities.

Animals Under Threat

Travel the globe to see how climate change affects wildlife — from koalas in Australia to elephants in Africa, jaguars in the Amazon and deer in North America. Students understand the real impact on ecosystems.
