The Space Exploration VR workshop gives students an experience no textbook can match. Children float through the International Space Station, stand on the surface of Mars, and witness the Apollo Moon landing from the lunar surface. The immersive nature of VR makes the vastness and wonder of space truly comprehensible.
KS1 students explore day and night, the Sun and Moon, and seasonal changes. KS2 students investigate the solar system, Earth's orbit, gravity, and the history of space exploration. Every session is adapted to the year group and connects to National Curriculum requirements.

Each session includes a Virtual Reality segment where students are transported into immersive environments. Using class sets of VR headsets, children explore 360° recreations of scientific environments — from standing on melting ice caps to walking among dinosaurs.
Step aboard NASA’s Space Shuttle Orbiter — the first reusable spacecraft. Students explore its unique rocket-powered launch and airplane-like landing, and learn about its missions deploying satellites and building the space station.
VR SceneExperience daily life on the International Space Station. Students discover how astronauts float in microgravity, eat specially prepared food, exercise to maintain muscles, and sleep in bags attached to walls.
VR SceneExamine the incredible engineering of a spacesuit — designed to protect astronauts from extreme temperatures, lack of air and radiation. Students explore the helmet visor, life-support systems and temperature regulation.
VR SceneRelive the historic Apollo 11 mission of July 1969. Students walk in the footsteps of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, exploring the lunar surface and the 21.5kg of moon rocks and soil they collected.
VR SceneJourney through our solar system — from the rocky terrestrial planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars to the gas giants Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Students explore the Sun, Saturn’s rings and Jupiter’s 75+ moons.
VR SceneExplore the Moon’s layers — from its thick rocky crust and silicate mantle to its dense iron and nickel core. Students discover evidence of past volcanic activity and how the Moon’s structure was formed.
VR SceneDiscover the ambitious plan to colonise Mars. Students explore how solar panels could power habitats, the challenges of a one-way trip, and what it would take to sustain human life on the Red Planet.
