Complete pre-visit pupil questionnaires, send the Parent Hub link to families & confirm hall/space setup with staff

Greet presenter, ensure space is ready & enjoy the show!

Complete the interactive worksheets with your class, collect post-visit questionnaires, try extension activities & share feedback

Space Requirements: Our presenter will need a clear space approximately the size of a badminton court, access to a power outlet, and 2-3 tables for equipment setup.

Please note: The demonstrations below are our standard visit programme. Occasionally, our presenter may adjust the selection depending on the age group, venue setup, or time available. Every visit is tailored to give your pupils the best possible experience.

Grab the Orange Challenge

Buoyancy & Density
Extension Activity

Test other objects (apple, potato, coin, cork) in water. Pupils predict, test, and record results in a float-or-sink chart.

Bernoulli's Windbags

Air Pressure
Extension Activity

Hold paper strips below your lips and blow hard across the top — watch the paper lift. Discuss how aeroplane wings use this principle.

Human Circuit

Electricity
Extension Activity

Draw a diagram of the human circuit. Label the conductor (hands), power source (stick), and output (light). What else conducts electricity?

Inertia Tablecloth Trick

Forces & Motion
Extension Activity

The coin-and-card trick: balance a coin on a card on top of a cup. Flick the card away — the coin drops in. Test with different flick speeds.

Waves & Vibrations
Extension Activity

Use a skipping rope to make waves — big slow waves vs small fast waves. Discuss how sound travels as waves through the air.

Extension Activity

Drop different ball combinations from the same height. Predict and measure which goes highest. Record results and discuss why.

Disappearing Water

Materials & Absorption
Extension Activity

Test absorption: pour equal amounts of water onto a sponge, paper towel, cotton wool, and sand. Which absorbs fastest? Which holds the most?

Egg Drop Inertia Trick

Forces & Inertia
Extension Activity

Try the coin-and-card version: balance a coin on a card on a cup. Flick the card — the coin drops in. Test with different masses and flick speeds.

Giant Bubble Ring

Surface Tension & Materials
Extension Activity

Make bubble solution (washing up liquid + water + sugar). Test different shaped wire frames — square, triangle, star. Which makes the biggest bubble?
