A hands-on first aid workshop that gives primary students the confidence to help others. Through interactive challenges, role-play scenarios, and practical demonstrations, children learn essential lifesaving skills in a fun, memorable way.
The Save a Life workshop transforms first aid from something abstract into something every child can do. This isn't about memorising textbook steps — it's about building real confidence through practice, repetition, and age-appropriate scenarios that stick.
Every session is adapted to your year group. Reception and Year 1 learn through stories, songs, and teddy bear first aid. Year 2 and 3 practise with guided role-play and simple demonstrations. Year 4 and 5 handle realistic scenarios with increasing independence. And Year 6 take on leadership roles, teaching younger students and managing simulated emergencies.
Designed for EYFS, KS1, and KS2 — our facilitator makes every session interactive, practical, and age-appropriate. All resources provided.
This workshop maps directly to the Save a Life skill in the Future Skills Passport programme. Book it as a standalone wow-factor day, or as part of your school's journey towards Bronze, Silver, or Gold accreditation.
Every activity is designed to build a different aspect of this skill. Your facilitator selects and adapts activities based on the year group.
Students learn to assess a scene before acting — checking for dangers, staying calm, and deciding when it's safe to help. Younger children use picture cards; older students discuss real scenarios.
All year groupsHands-on practice putting classmates (and teddies for EYFS) into the recovery position. Students learn why it works and when to use it.
All year groupsPractising calling 999 and 112 — what to say, what information to give, and staying calm under pressure. Younger students use play phones; older students handle realistic role-plays.
All year groupsHow to deal with everyday injuries — cuts, bumps, nosebleeds, and burns. Students practise applying pressure, using cold compresses, and knowing when an injury needs adult help.
Year 1+Age-appropriate training on recognising choking and knowing what to do — back blows, encouraging coughing, and when to call for help immediately.
Year 3+Year 5 and 6 students are introduced to CPR concepts and chest compressions using practice mats. They learn the chain of survival and why every second counts.
Year 5 & 6Every session is designed around measurable outcomes that align with the National Curriculum and the Future Skills Passport framework.
Students know what to do in common emergencies and have the confidence to act rather than freeze.
Students can call 999, give clear information, and stay calm while waiting for help to arrive.
Students can perform the recovery position, treat minor injuries, and recognise when someone needs urgent help.
Students understand that helping others is everyone's responsibility and feel empowered to make a difference.
Ideal for PSHE enrichment days and health awareness campaigns throughout the year.
