World First Aid Day is the annual global moment for schools to give every child a life-saving skill. Coordinated by the International Federation of Red Cross, it falls on the second Saturday of September each year. Because 12 September 2026 is a Saturday, schools typically anchor the workshop on Friday 11 September or Monday 15 September.
Our Save a Life workshop is our most-booked first-aid session and pairs perfectly with World First Aid Day. Age-appropriate across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 — Reception children learn "Stop, Look, Listen" and how to call 999; Years 3-4 add the recovery position and chest compression rhythm using a familiar song; Years 5-6 progress to defibrillator awareness and confident hands-only CPR practice. This is also a natural warm-up for Restart a Heart Day (16 October) five weeks later.
A 20-minute WOW opener setting up the theme of the week — kindness, empathy, standing up. Sets the tone for pupils to arrive at their workshop primed to engage.
Half day: 4 sessions covering up to 128 pupils. Full day: 7 sessions covering up to 224 pupils. Each session pitched to the year group in front of us — Reception looks different to Year 6.
KS2 pupils practice real scenarios: what to do when you see a friend being excluded, how to speak up without becoming a target, how to escalate to a trusted adult.
Upper KS2 tackles online cruelty, group-chat pressure, and where to find help (Childline, Report Remove, Kooth). Practical, not preachy.
Assembly script for the following day, tutor-time discussion prompts (Tue/Wed/Thu), Odd Socks Day activity ideas, home-learning task, and one A4 PSHE evidence sheet for your subject leader file.

Option 1 — Monday anchor. Book for Monday 16 November. The WOW workshop sets up the week; teachers run the follow-up activities in your teacher pack Tuesday to Friday. Most Ofsted-ready.
Option 2 — Odd Socks Day (Mon 10 Nov). Combine the workshop with Odd Socks Day for maximum whole-school visibility. Pupils arrive in odd socks, join the assembly, do the workshop, tweet about it. Excellent for social media / school newsletter.
Option 3 — Bookend the week. Book for Friday 20 November to consolidate — pupils reflect on what they've learned, teachers get a fresh energy boost, and the messages carry into the weekend.
Option 4 — Ahead of the week. Book late October or early November to prime the week. Teachers use the pack to build up to ABW, then run their own culminating events.

For Anti-Bullying Week itself (16-20 Nov 2026) we recommend booking by early September as those five days fill first. If those dates are full, we run the same workshop across the surrounding weeks — schools often programme it for early November to lead into ABW or late November to consolidate the message.
