VR + Resources

Experience the drama and intrigue of the Tudor court

The Tudors workshop uses immersive VR to transport Year 5 and 6 students to Tudor England. Children explore the magnificent Hampton Court Palace, experience the court of Henry VIII, and discover daily life in one of history's most fascinating periods.

Students plan Tudor banquets, investigate historical justice and crime, analyse Tudor portraiture, create explorer maps of the age of exploration, and experience Tudor trades and commerce. Through VR and hands-on activities, they understand the grandeur, the intrigue, and the everyday life of Tudor times.

Book a full-day visit and choose a different VR topic for every year group — making it super specific to each class's curriculum and exceptional value for money.

What students take away

Every session is designed around measurable outcomes that align with the National Curriculum and build historical thinking skills.

Understanding monarchy and power

Students understand how monarchs wielded power and the political intrigue of Tudor court.

Tudor society and daily life

Students can describe daily life for different people — nobles, merchants, servants — in Tudor society.

Exploration and trade

Students understand Tudor England's role in the age of exploration and expansion.

Religious change and impact

Students grasp the religious upheaval under Henry VIII and its lasting social impact.

Year 6 students were fascinated by Henry VIII's character and the politics of the court. When they realised Henry VIII married six times, they wanted to understand why — and that led to discussions about power, marriage as political tool, and how society changed. Real historical thinking emerged.
