Understand the home front and civilian resilience

The World War II workshop uses immersive VR to help Year 5 and 6 students understand life during WW2 from a civilian perspective. Children experience the Blitz in an air raid shelter, understand evacuation, and discover how ordinary people showed extraordinary resilience.

Students participate in evacuation role-play, use wartime ration books, crack wartime codes, explore Anderson shelters, and read letters from soldiers. Through VR experiences and hands-on activities, they develop empathy for people who lived through WW2 and appreciate the home front's challenges.

Book a full-day visit and choose a different VR topic for every year group — making it super specific to each class's curriculum and exceptional value for money.

Empathy and resilience

Students admire the courage and resilience of people who endured WW2 and apply these values to modern challenges.

The evacuation role-play was emotional and powerful. Year 6 students packed their suitcases with their most precious possessions and said goodbye to us as if we were their parents. Afterwards, they had a deep understanding of what evacuation meant — not just history, but human experience.
